Have you ever sat in the cockpit of a 310?  If you have, you know it is the roomiest plane in its class...much roomier than the Baron 58.  I am 6'2" and 230lbs and I have never felt cramped, even in the back seats.  This room is great while instructing a student or cruising for hours.  You will not be leaning on your flying partner, just relaxing with the arm rest down watching the countryside go by.

Careful attention to airframe corrosion has been one of my missions.  The C-310 is known to collect water in the nose compartment and behind the reinforced ice blockers on the sides of the nose.  This aircraft has had over $10,000 of structural work done on the nose in the last three years to successfully combat any corrosion.

You will see the term "de-ice" used a lot in advertising but it just means there are at least boots on the plane, no necessarily props, verticle stab and windshield.  The de-ice boots (SMR Technologies; www.smrtech.com )were recently replaced in 2004 and they look as good today as they did when they were put on.  They have no leaks and have been regularly dressed with boot dressing.  The aircraft has always been hangared while I owned it which helps.  The props have anti-ice as well as the pitot static system, stall switch and fuel vents.  There is an ice detection light.  This aircraft is NOT certified for known ice however, but none of this model 310 were until the mid 70's 310R models.

The pilot's side window was replaced almost 6 years ago and remains as clear today as when installed.

Extensive work was done this last year to correct any leaking of the fuel.  There is no weeping.  This plane carrys 140 gallons of fuel which will give you 4 hours of flight at a filed speed of 170kts with a :45 min IFR reserve.

Please follow this link to see the major modifications to the airframe.  This is a listing of all the paperwork the FAA has on file for this plane.

- The paint is rated as an 8. (11 year old paint)

- The interior is rated as an 8. (**The front seats have small tears [3" and 5"] in the fabric but will have new Sheep Skin covers over them (5/08).  One of the back seats has a small tear)
