I have owned this great plane for more than 10 years. I bought the aircraft as I was building time for a professional career in the airlines. It served me very well and also took me to places I never expected! It has been in and out of airports large and small and has no problem with either. From Benchmark, MT to LAX, and Las Vegas to Washington National, this plane will get you there.
5819M also served as a charter aircraft for 3 years while I owned it. This is a huge positive as the airplane was professionally operated and maintained to a much higher standard than Part 91. Therefore you can rest assured that the Weight and Balance is an accurate number (required every 3 years by Part 135) and that the many other items that many owners neglect (engines/props beyond TBO, magnetos, governors, 100hr inspections, oil changes, etc) were maintained on schedule. All TBO items were replaced upon TBO. I have never had to replace a cylinder because of cracking because this aircraft has been flown by professionals (myself and the charter pilot) for the last 10 years. I took great pride in mechanically keeping this plane in great working order. I would not leave "airworthiness" squawk items unattended. There is wear on the interior and the paint as described in the "airframe" section of this site so I am not billing this plane as a prize winner. It IS solid and will get you to where you want to go.
I never used the plane for instruction thereby keeping the heating and cooling cycles down on the engines. My flights in the plane averaged more than 2 hours during the course of ownership.
